Not too many high school football players can say they are the team’s best wide receiver and field goal kicker. Chaparral High School’s Tommy Christakos is that player. The 3-star WR is known as a reliable pass-catcher who makes plays in traffic. He’s also an elite kicker.
At 6’4″ in height and 215 lbs, Christakos can catch any ball thrown his way. He thinks the jump ball is what sets him apart from other receivers. Every time the ball is thrown his way, the Firebirds WR feels he can go up and make the catch.
His quarterback and Ohio State commit Jack Miller agrees. According to Miller, “I think what makes Tommy so great is his ability to make any catch… He somehow makes a play when I need him to.”
Coach Brent Barnes feels Christakos is one of the most unique athletes he’s been around. A rare combination – size, speed, great hands and an elite kicker all in one player.
The Chaparral senior verbally committed to play wide receive for the California Bears, but everyone knows that catching the ball is only one of this Arizona stars’ athletic talents.
