One thing the Nebraska Cornhuskers love to do is run the football. They may have found a future gem in 3-star Edison Prep (Oklahoma) commit Sevion Morrison.
As a running back, Morrison has a great combination of size (5’11” ft, 196 lbs), speed and vision.
On the 24/7 Sports Scouting Report, recruiter Gabe Brooks says Morrison has, “Close to prototypical frame for a three-down volume back. Adequate to above-average height, and close to college-ready size with enough frame space to add more bulk. Big-play runner with enormous production at Oklahoma Class 5A level. Dangerous cutback runner who can press line of scrimmage before slashing against the grain. Shows impressive initial burst, particularly for a longer-striding back.”
During his junior season, Morrison rushed for more than 2,700 yards and 38 touchdowns. So far in his senior season, he continues padding his gaudy high school stats.
Against Bishop Kelley, Morrison showed why Cornhusker fans in Lincoln and around the country should be excited about their latest running back commit. He rambled for 253 yards, 4 TD’s and a 9.4 yds/carry average.
Morrison even showed off his play making ability out of the backfield with this big gainer:
