Fremont Street Experience
Tropicana

Spring has sprung and there is a lot happening here in Vegas! April 2nd is the last day that Tropicana will be open after 67 years on the Strip.  Many of the shows there have found new homes in other casino properties. Tropicana will, at some point, be imploded to make way for the new Major League Baseball Stadium for the Oakland A’s. Now it’s unlikely that they will play there until 2028, so this will be a construction site for quite some time.

Margaritaville

Another place we are saying goodbye to is Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, located on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd between Flamingo and the LINQ Promenade. The restaurant is not taking any reservations after April 18th and they are not renewing their lease that expires in June 2024. The Margaritaville Casino and The Bird Bar have already closed to make way for a second location of Gordon Ramsey Burger.

The Mirage Volcano

The Mirage Volcano made its comeback in mid-March and will operate nightly every hour from 8pm to 11pm. Catch the shows while you can, as this Vegas landmark will go away for good once Hardrock begins construction on their planned guitar shaped hotel tower. At this time, they have not made the information of when this will happen public.

The Conjurors

We had the opportunity to check out a couple of new shows that recently hit the Vegas Valley.  Over at The Orleans, The Conjurors are performing at the Venue, which is an intimate setting to catch a show.

Natasha Lamb, Sebastian & Matthew Pomeroy The Conjurors

The Conjurors, Matthew & Natasha are such talented magicians and truly engage the audience. This is one show that you’ll certainly want to add to your must see list. And just off of the Strip in the Historic Commercial Center, you’ll find a very entertaining way to spend a Sunday in Vegas.

Skye Dee Miles Carmen’s Love Brunch Composers Room

Musician and Entertainer Skye Dee Miles has brought her Carmen’s Love Brunch to the Composers Room. This brunch pays homage to Skye’s mother and includes stories, fantastic gospel music and of course, brunch.

Skye Dee Myles & Sebastian

Blake Shelton’s Ole Red opened on the Vegas Strip in the Grand Bazar Shops outside of Horseshoe back in January; however, they are celebrating their grand opening April 15-20 and Blake Shelton himself will be performing.

Ole Red

The restaurant and bar features free live music throughout the day, making it a great spot to catch a band while enjoying a bite to eat. And with four levels, you can get some great views of the Strip.

The Tank Pool Golden Nugget

As for weather, April’s weather is definitely warmer than March, and slightly more predictable. The average daily high is in the low 80’s, making it perfect for outdoor activities, as well as getting in that pool time.  Keep in mind that it does still cool off quite a bit at night, dipping as low as mid 40’s.

Flamingo Habitat & pool

For those of you who suffer from allergies, keep in mind that the pollen and dust are in full effect. For some indoor spring blooms, be sure to check out the new spring display at Bellagio’s Conservatory, which will remain open 24/7 until May 18th.
