Preview
The 2022 BSN Sports Showcase kicks off on Saturday with a fantastic line-up of games at Pacifica Christian High School in Newport Beach. Catch all four games of the quadruple-header exclusively on Yurview.com.
GAME 1
In the showcase opener, the Moorpark Musketeers (10-6) square off with the Christian Patriots (4-9). Moorpark’s impressive season has included an eight-game winning streak, its longest since 2003. For the first time in school history, the team was ranked No. 1 in the CIF-Southern Section Division 4AA poll earlier this season. Junior shooting guard Lucas Fenske is having a breakout season, averaging a team-best 18.3 points per game, and is considered one of the best shooters in the region.

While Christian enters below .500, Patrick Perez is averaging nearly a double-double with 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season.
GAME 2
In game two, the Vanden Vikings (3-9) look to pull the upset against a talented West Ranch Wildcats (8-6) team that’s among the favorites in the Foothill League. The Wildcats are considered one of the top teams in the region.
GAME 3
In the third game of the showcase, a loaded Southern California Academy (12-2) team that features five-star Oregon commit Dior Johnson battles the Desert Valley Prep Silver Miners out of Las Vegas.

SCA is considered one of the top teams in the nation and features a number of high-major Division I commits including Johnson as well as Jaylen Thompson (Stanford), Jaxon Kohler (Michigan St.), Oziyah Sellers (USC), and Robert Cowherd (Ole Miss). The team recently won the John Wall Holiday Invitational in Raleigh, North Carolina, one of the premier tournaments in the country.
GAME 4
In the nightcap, hosts Pacifica Christian (8-9) tangle with the undefeated Norco Cougars (11-0). The Pacifica Christian Tritons, the 2017 and 2019 CIF state runner-ups, are paced by NYU commit Riyaan Jiwani.
Jiwani is the team’s leading scorer and also owns the school-record for most career three-pointers field goals. The Jaguars went undefeated in league and reached the state title game two seasons ago although only two players remain from that team.
