OXFORD, Miss – LSU took an early lead on No. 12 Ole Miss Saturday afternoon but could not sustain the momentum midway through the first quarter. A Rebel goal-line stand gave Ole Miss the ball and raced to scoring 31 unanswered points and dropping LSU 31-17.
The biggest bright spot for LSU was the play of linebacker Damone Clark. The senior finished with a 20-tackle night, including a forced fumble.
LSU fell to 4-4 on the season and 2-3 in the SEC, while Ole Miss improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in league play.
