The Higley Knights beat the Desert Ridge Jaguars this week in our Arizona GameTime featured matchup on Friday, October 16 at 7:00 pm
When it started off, it looked like anyone’s game. Desert Ridge put seven on the board in a first quarter statement.

The score was tied at 14 early on, but Higley began to pull away starting in the second quarter and refused to be stopped.
The Knights had a total of 474 passing yards, which is no surprise with a Senior QB at the level of Kai Millner surrounded by a group of talented receivers.
Millner is rated as the No. 19 pro-style quarterback in the nation and No. 8 overall in the state of Arizona in the 2021 class. He’ll follow Spencer Brasch to Cal in the fall.
Truitt Robinson was a big-time contributor for the Knights, netting two TDs in the first half as well as participating in this bit of trickeration.

Branson Heywood was another of Millner’s favorite targets, converting on downs and picking up the occasional score.
And that quickly, they score again. On third down, Millner finds Heywood down the sideline for 54 yards.
Higley 35, Desert Ridge 14, 11:24 in 3Q. Jaguars are going to have to respond here before things get out of hand.#azcsports #azreplay @azreplay pic.twitter.com/sdHx84O5BT

Not to be outdone, Sophomore Carter Hancock contributed a spectacular 89-yard run for a touchdown as well as his score in the first half.
Millner goes up the middle to sophomore Carter Hancock for a 16-yard TD. Extra point is good.
Higley 14, Desert Ridge 7, 8:16 in 2Q.
Millner was able to find targets other than Robinson on that drive and it really worked out.#azcsports #azreplay @azreplay pic.twitter.com/8J5DpZgcNM

Desert Ridge suffered the consequences of four turnovers and the hay Higley made from them. Despite a third score in the fourth quarter for the Jags, it was all about the Knights as they come away with a 42-21 victory over Desert Ridge.
