The Chesapeake Humane Society plays a really important role in the lives of countless animals. Emily Friedland, their development manager, brought the most adorable dog named Jane to hang out with Ashley and Susie!
As the development manager, Emily takes care of most of the fundraising and marketing.
The Chesapeake Humane Society recently opened a new adoption center that allows them to take in and house even more animals than before. In addition to the new adoption center, they have a few new programs as well!
One of the new programs is their small animal adoption program, and the other is their crisis boarding program. The crisis boarding program is for anyone who is going through a personal crisis such as domestic violence, a medical emergency, or anything else!
If you want to get involved there are several ways!:
- Adopt
- Donate
- Volunteer your time
- Foster
November 12th is the Chesapeake Humane Society’s 50th anniversary, and they will be having a big event at Backbay Farmhouse Brewing Co. Check out their website for all the details!
