We hope you were all good girls and boys this year, receiving your favorite gifts from Santa, and that your holiday was spent celebrating with loved ones and making time to uphold your holiday traditions. While there are many seasonal events to attend within our bustling community, we can all agree that nothing compares to the festivities at Busch Gardens Christmas Town! For many of us, Christmas Town is the ultimate holiday tradition. Embracing the millions of lights, visit with Santa Claus and Rudolph, enjoying the holiday fare and visiting the immersive displays within each country… there is simply nothing else like it!
We decided to send our hosts to Christmas Town this year, bringing you the jolliest Christmas episode ever! Join us as Ashley, Patricia and Quincy take you on a tour of the park, with exclusive interviews and demonstrations, revealing all that Busch Gardens provides for you and your family during the holiday season!
Joining us is Matthew Edwards, Manager of Special Events at Busch Gardens. Matthew served as our guide, giving us the run down of not only what Busch Gardens has to offer for Christmas Town, but how much planning and effort is required to pull off such a fantastic display!
Who doesn’t look forward to the food on Christmas day?! Quincy sure does, so he took us behind the scenes with Executive Chef Justin to see what special holiday offerings can be found throughout the park! Be prepared, you may need a snack to get through this segment…
One of our favorite holiday traditions is cruising around town to peep all of the Christmas lights! Well, Christmas Town offers over 11 MILLION lights for your viewing pleasure!!! It takes over a year to map out the light displays at Christmas Town and Matthew returns with Patricia to tell us exactly what preparations are needed to bring this winter wonderland to life!
If theater and big stage productions strike your fancy, Busch Gardens has you covered! With a variety of shows, from Scrooge No More! to Gloria, and even an ice skating show called ‘Twas that Night, Christmas Town will set the scene with the perfect holiday story to lift your spirits.
Ashley and Patricia then invite you to tag along as they indulge in their favorite holiday pastime…Shopping! The ladies venture through the park to see what seasonal wares are offered at Christmas Town. From a craft market in Germany, to creating your own crafts in New France, there is a gift to be made or purchased for each member of your family.
Ashley gets and exclusive interview with the big man himself! Have you ever wondered what Santa’s favorite cookie is? Or how he brings his workshop to the North Pole at Christmas Town? We have the answers and so much more!
Back in England, our hosts have traveled back in time to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Quincy learns about their annual Christmas Eve Party, while Ashley figures out how to get on the guest list!
One of the new events at Christmas Town is the Traditions Tree Maze! Within the maze you will find 5 different celebration stations that offer a hands on experience where you create a craft and discover how various countries around the world celebrate the season in their own, unique way. Watch as Patricia guides us to each of the stations and provides a sneak peek of what activity and information is available.
As our show comes to a close, we have a very special sneak peak for you! We leave you with a spectacular performance from Believe, one of the shows found at Christmas Town in the Italy pavilion.
