Live racing is back at Colonial Downs, with races happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a 1:30 post time. So for anyone itching to place a live bet, you should come on down!
Every Saturday is “family fun day” at Colonial Downs, which means lots to do for the whole family- including kids! The activities for kids include petting zoos, jugglers, face painters, magicians, pony rides and MORE!
Parking and general admission are free, with reserved seating for the live action starting at just five dollars.
Colonial Downs is very unique because of its’ rural setting, but also because of its’ size! It’s the second biggest track in the country circumference-wise, only to Belmont.
Turf racing takes place there, and instead of the average 2 to 3 runs per day, they run 7 to 8 races per race day at Colonial Downs.
In addition to the live races, you can also watch and place bets on racing taking place all over the country!
