Patricia got the chance to head over and visit the 27th annual Mayflower Marathon, sponsored by Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and Electric.
This year, the food bank has seen a 35% increase over the previous year in the amount of people who requested food assistance. That makes the Mayflower Marathon even more important than normal this year!
Bud’s loves stepping up for the community whenever they can- and around the holidays this year has been especially hard for the food bank to fulfill the food needs locally!
It’s important to Bud’s to be majorly involved in this event year after year- because helping take care of the community that they serve is one of their top priorities.
Some of the things the food bank needs the most are:
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Tuna
- Chicken
- Pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Peanut butter
