Hampton Roads is full of people who are doing amazing things for the community that we all live in. In this Hometown Hero segment sponsored by Bud’s- we are honoring one of our favorite local charities, Aid Another.
Aid Another was born out of pure love and also necessity. The founder Christine’s son was diagnosed with Autism, and she quickly realized that there was a lack of programs and support for her son and others like him.
The first program that was started alongside the charity was a baseball program for those who are differently abled. It has now grown to also include basketball, cheerleading, dance, soccer and more.
Aid Another also puts on inclusive tween and teen dances, and even an inclusive gala! From vendors with disabilities, to a 360 degree photo booth that is wheelchair accessible- they really thought of everything.
