The Hampton Roads International Auto Show, returns to the Virginia Beach Convention Center January 7th through 9th! Almost every major manufacturer will be onsite and indoors with hundreds of new 2022 models!
Michael Allen, the Executive Vice President of both the VADA and the HRADA and Aris Woolfolk, the Vice President and General Manager of the VADA join the Living 757 crew to tell us more.
They are really excited about their new “Drive Electric Virginia” area, which is sponsored by Dominion Energy. There will be electric vehicles on hand, exhibits on the different charging systems and types of chargers and more!
There will also be a Muscle Car Competition at the auto show this year! Muscle cars are cars with a lot of horsepower. Attendees can vote for their favorite muscle car, and when you vote- you are entered to win a $500 gas card!
Patricia loves pretty cars, and she asks if we can drive any of the beautiful muscle cars from the competition! Michael laughingly answers no, but that people can drive one of the Chevrolet or Toyota cars which are on site for their “Ride and Drive” event.
Lastly, there is a Skills USA Automotive competition taking place over the auto show weekend. It’s a competition for some of the students in automotive programs in Hampton Roads. It gives the students the opportunity to show people hands on work that they do on vehicles!
