The Norfolk Technical Center partnered with Norfolk Fire Rescue to create a program that would give students a hands on learning experience with firefighting. This segment of Hometown Heroes follows instructor Joseph Scott, a retired Norfolk firefighter, who now teaches the course for the Norfolk Technical Center.
But this isn’t the only program offered by the Norfolk Technical Center! They offer many more courses to help students grow their skills and teach them about work place readiness. These programs give students options other than going just going to college. It gives them the ground work needed to succeed in life. Norfolk High School students grades 10 through 12 are eligible for these classes, as well as Norfolk Public School graduates under 20 years of age.
