Hometown Heroes interviews Pediatrician Noëlle Gabriel, M.D. with Tidewater Children’s Associates at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA. When Dr. Gabriel was 10 years old her brother spent several months at the CHKD. The services given to her brother in order to save his life encouraged her to pursue this career path so she could return the favor to other families. She continues to remain committed to bringing joy and knowledge to her patients and their families. She gives her best everyday!
Dr. Gabriel is a mother of four and very family oriented. She is able to see her work from both a physician’s standpoint and a mother’s standpoint which makes her valuable to her patients. They know she wouldn’t suggest anything that she wouldn’t do herself as a mother.
In addition, she serves as Chair of the Norfolk School Board where she works to improve school nutrition, physical education, and mental health needs. Prior to joining Tidewater Children’s Associates, she worked as an attending physician in the emergency department at CHKD and continues to see patients there as well.
