Quite possibly one of the top matchups in Arizona this fall, last season’s 4A Conference state champion Saguaro will host Chaparral, who advanced to the 5A Conference quarterfinals a year ago, this Friday. Chaparral enters this week 3-0.
The game will be broadcast live on Yurview Arizona for Cox Communications customers and will also stream live on Yurview.com.
Rising Program against Perennial Powerhouse
Saguaro looks every bit the part of state champion once again. Since 2013, Saguaro owns a 68-6 record, including a 3-1 mark this season. They lost their second game against Liberty (Nev.) but defeated their two Arizona opponents this season by an average of 38 points.
Chaparral remains undefeated heading into this Friday. They needed overtime to beat Hamilton on the road in Week 1, but then they captured blowout victories against Desert Mountain and La Joya Community. Facing the 4A Conference favorite on the road will be a great test for this program.
