It was a battle of defenses, with a little help from 3-year Senior T.J. Urban for a come-from-behind win for Millard South.
The Air Force commit aimed high to hit Gage Stenger for a couple of big plays on the night, including the game winning touchdown.

The Storm Defense Came to Play
That’s not to say that the Patriots win was a walk in the park. Elkhorn South got their hands on both of Urban’s two third quarter fumbles, but the Patriots prevented them from doing more than enjoying possession.
“I had some ups and downs tonight,” Urban told the Omaha World Herald. “But it’s all about handling adversity.”
After their shut out win over the Mustangs last week, Millard South’s defensive prowess should come as no surprise. Also not surprising was how hard the Storm made them work for every score.
Third down pass ruled incomplete so the Patriots settle for a short FG.

Storm Standouts
Elkhorn South is no stranger to come-from-behind wins. Their week one victory rode on the foot of Carson Crouch’s late fourth-quarter field goal.
The Storm’s impressive O-Line includes Nebraska commit Teddy Prochazka and two-sport Senior center Isaac Zatechka surrounding QB Will Skradis, but by the third quarter the Patriots defense seemed to have their number. Elkhorn South managed one score on a short pass from Skradis to Koy Wilke.

A concerted effort from Millard South’s defense stymied the Storm’s attempt to rally in the fourth quarter, and was able to run out the clock to cement their victory.
Millard South rises to 2-0 on this 17-14 win, while Elkhorn South falls to 1-1.
