Pinnacle junior QB Spencer Rattler is rated as the number one dual threat quarterback in the class of 2019 by both ESPN Junior 300 and Rivals. His head coach Dana Zupke sometimes finds himself in awe of his abilities and he’s well on his way to leading the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoons.
Spencer sat down with us before Pinnacle’s high octane matchup against Centennial Thursday night to talk about leadership, the recruiting process and his decision to join the Sooners.
The Recruiting Process
“The Recruiting Process really blew up after my freshman year. My first two were ASU and UCLA, so those first two really get your confidence going. Then the big schools started to roll in. I think Oklahoma was my fifth offer.”
OU Coach Riley.
“Once I met Lincoln Riley I had a feeling that this is what I want my coach to be like. We just developed a great relationship.”
“Coach Riley has been running that spread type of offense since he was at Texas Tech so I’ve know about him for a long time. I feel like I fit perfectly in their offense.”
