Overview
Elkhorn South hits the road to take on Millard North at Buell Stadium – Thursday, Sept. 10th at 7:00 pm CT.
Elkhorn South completes the tour of Millard. The Storm comes into the game at 1-1 after a 30-28 come from behind victory over Millard West in week one and a heartbreaking 17-14 loss to Millard South on Friday night. If they can come away 2-1 from this stretch, they’ll have to be considered contenders.
Here’s how to watch Elkhorn South vs. Millard North
Bigger things might have been expected from Millard North to this point. They were preseason top 10, but they’ve started 0-2 after losses to Millard South (33-0) and Millard West (21-14). Unfortunately, it doesn’t get any easier this week for the Mustangs. The Storm will be their 3rd top 5 opponent in as many weeks.
Millard North is very big upfront and the line is Elkhorn South’s strength also. The battle in the trenches will determine who comes out on top of this game.
Players to Watch
Quarterback is always the key for Millard North and Jimmy Quaintance is the man this year. Last year, sophomore Ben Weindel and junior Brandon Lundquist split time under center.

For Elkhorn South, Northern Illinois commit Makhi Nelson-Douglas will be a game-time decision. The #8 rated player in Nebraska on the ESPN 300 is fun to watch, especially on defense from the OLB/rush end spot.
Speaking of top players, 4 star OT and Nebraska Commit Teddy Prochazka anchors the Storm’s offensive line along with senior center Isaac Zatechka. Prochazka is the #2 rated player in the 2021 ESPN Top Nebraska Recruits.
It will be interesting to see what happens at QB for Elkhorn South. Dilan Krause was the starter, but Will Skradis played more in the last game vs Millard South.
