Chaparral vs Saguaro (Arizona)
Original game played: September 14, 2018
Scheduled air date: June 26, 2020
There is no bigger rivalry in Arizona than Chaparral vs Saguaro. The schools are located just 5 miles apart in Scottsdale, and most of the players have been competing on the gridiron against one another since Pop Warner days. In recent years, because of the size differential of the schools, they have not played each other. However, both schools have re-committed to the rivalry again.
Lots of offensive firepower on display in this game. Chaparral junior running back Darvon Hubbard and quarterback Jack Miller were verbally committed to Ohio State while junior receiver Tommy Christakos was leaning to signing with Cal.
Saguaro boosted the top cornerback prospect in the country for the class of 2020 in Kelee Ringo along with a baker’s dozen of D-1 prospects.
This was a great back and forth game with plenty of momentum twists.
