Tom Gregory is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning host, producer, and writer. He has worked in virtually every area of broadcasting, including radio, documentary films, news, sports, entertainment television and even traveling the country as a national headlining comic.
But most of all, Tom is a storyteller, a storyteller who has a problem saying “No” to an adventure.
Tom has been nominated for over 30 Emmys, including being honored three times for On-Camera Host for the travel adventure series “Go Coast.” While filming “Go Coast,” Tom said “Yes” to racing cars and go-karts, hatching and feeding alligators, deep sea fishing and flyboarding.
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Tom’s network television special, “Renewing New Orleans: Keeping America’s Beat,” not only delivered major market ratings but was also named Best Entertainment Program in Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Sports is where Tom first teamed up with Cox, covering both the New Orleans Saints and Hornets for Cox Sports Television. For five years, he was the host and writer of “Outside the Huddle,” the official team magazine show for the Saints. Twice, “Outside the Huddle” was honored for Best Sports Show Award by The Press Club of New Orleans.
Tom’s first car was a 1968 AMC Javelin followed by a 1972 AMC Gremlin, which set him on a path of true quirky car appreciation.
Now with two daughters, ages eight and six, he does appreciate the family minivan but he really loves the feeling of getting behind the wheel of a car without any car seats in the back.
