On May 4th, 2018, the San Diego Legion defeated the Houston SaberCats 35-32 in the final moments of the match-up. This thriller of a game put the Legion in second place in the Major League Rugby standings with 10 points from their three matches (four points for each win, one point for each four-try bonus point).
