It was a memorable night for Harry & Jane Daniels, as they attended Cox Presents: A Salute to Teachers awards show in San Diego, CA alongside their grandchildren and daughter, Meg Rabine who was a finalist for County Teacher of the Year. “I feel very proud. She’s worked very hard to get where she is,” said Jane.
Rabine, already a Teacher of the Year winner in her district for Chula Vista Elementary, was excited about sharing her special night with her parents. “It’s so wonderful to have my parents here on the eve of Grandparents Day,” she said.
As for her dad, he was honored to be part of the celebration. “I’m proud to be here to acknowledge the work that she does and the impact she has on people. I think teachers have more of an impact on people than any other profession,” said Harry.
The Daniels made the trip down from Los Angeles to attend the Oscar-style awards show that honors public school teachers from all around San Diego County.
The show features celebrity emcees, presenters, and musical and dance performances by students, two of which are Rabine’s son & daughter who performed in the opening number, adding to the excitement of the night.
