One thing people can agree on is the magic of little Coyotes getting their HOOOOOWL on. Monica checks in on the Junior Coyotes.
Kenny Corupe, Travel Hockey Director for the AA program out of Chandler and Scottsdale explains the program. Introducing the sport of hockey and having fun is the obvious but building skills that will serve the players on and off the ice is the top priority – team first and work ethic.
Participating parents love the sport, but they also love that the program is helping their kids. One mother talks about how her son is getting along with friends at school and she loves his manners and the respect he shows others.
The players have learned the importance of putting the team first rather than self. They have learned the importance of helping their teammates score goals.
The players and families are involved in activities off the ice. Community service is practiced. The Junior Coyotes have been involved in a project to feed hungry children and they are having a book drive and will donate the books to those in need. These young players are becoming good citizens.
