The Escambia Gators left Louisiana with a 21-8 win over Archbishop Rummel. There were plenty of big plays in the game, but none were more impressive than this spectacular catch by Chris Hale.
The junior wide receiver did his best Cris Carter/Spider-man impersonation, keeping his toes inbounds along the sideline and fully extending to pull in the Avi Smith pass and give the Gators a big first down.
Hale is listed on the Escambia roster at 5’10” but he makes himself look like he’s 6’5″ on this play.
At this point in the game, Escambia trailed the Patriots 8-0, but they were able to rally and take charge in the 2nd half to head back to Pensacola with a W.
