For the first time in three weeks, the New Orleans Saints will play a game on a Sunday. It is a welcome sight for the Black and Gold, even though they have not won a game since the month of October. New York’s woeful defense might be the thing that spurs on a Saints offense that is having trouble finding its footing since Alvin Kamara, Jameis Winston and key offensive lineman have been sidelined. The Jets are ranked last in the NFL in total defense, giving up 38 points per game in their last five losses this season.
The Saints enter the contest on a five-game losing streak but find themselves still in the playoff hunt. New Orleans is tied with Carolina and Atlanta and are only a breath away from the final playoff spot if the season ended today.
Quarterback Taysom Hill is coming off a performance that he would like to forget. Hill did lead the team in passing and rushing but tossed four interceptions in a 27-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
