Choctaw finally gets to play football in Oklahoma after starting the season with three straight road games in Arkansas. The Yellowjackets finished their tour of “The Natural State” by going 1-2. They lost to Springdale 46-18, beat Van Buren 28-10, and lost this past weekend 23-12 to Greenwood.
Booker T. Washington comes into district play with at 2-1 record. They opened the season with at 28-10 victory over Southmoore, beat Del City 15-13 in week two and lost this past week to Bishop McGuinness 28-17. In that game, they outgained the Fighting Irish 420 to 279 yards but committed five costly turnovers. The Hornets are a young, improving team led by sophomore QB Lathan Boone.
Key Injuries & Players to Watch
Both teams have been hit hard by the injury bug. Booker T. Washington lost 4-star junior WR/CB Gentry Williams to a knee injury. Choctaw star WR and TCU commit Chase Jackson is also out for the season with a fractured patella.
There’s still plenty of talent remaining on both teams.

The Yellowjackets feature 3-star defensive back/wide receiver, Jordan Mukes. At 6’3″/190 lbs, Mukes plans to play football next season for the Oklahoma Sooners.
Booker T. Washington also has a talented defensive back and wide receiver in 3-star Keuan Parker. The 5’11’/165 lb senior recently committed to the University of Arkansas.
Mukes is ranked #8 and Parker is #16 in the 2021 ESPN Top Oklahoma Recruits.
