The Ford Game of the Week replay from August 30th, 2019 – Yukon Millers vs Edmond North Huskies.
It was cool for an August opening night of The Ford Game of the Week between the Yukon Millers and the Edmond North Huskies. With both teams eager to improve on last year’s records, Yukon’s Head Coach Jeremy Reed had his team focused and ready as were the Huskies under Head Coach Tanner Roof.
Senior QB Colby Entwistle and the Huskie offense, aggressively opened the season with a first half generating 13 points from 188 yards passing and two touchdowns with a negative 2 yards rushing. A critical interception by Yukon inside their own 10-yard line turned the momentum to the Millers. Edmond North would finish the game with a total of 248 yards however only 15 yards rushing.
The Millers opening half yielded 14 points and a total of 235 total yards. Cam Farmer had 9 carries for 64 yards and 1 TD in the half and would go on to be named the Ford Player of the Game with a total of 18 carries and 115 yards.
Yukon added one more touchdown in the second half to go on and win their road opener by a score of 21 to 13.
Both coaches were encouraged by the commitment and effort shown by their teams and are looking forward to a much-improved season.
