The Nathan Hale Rangers played the Edison Eagles Thursday night at Tulsa’s LaFortune Stadium. Edison came into the game 3-0 in District 5A-3 play and 5-1 overall. Hale was 2-4 overall and 0-3 in district.
The Eagles built a solid lead in the first quarter. Two Eagle drives led to two touchdowns by Nebraska commit Sevion Morrison. The first was a one yarder just a minute and a half into the game. The second one was a two yarder at the 2:33 mark of the quarter. Edison led 14-0 after one.
In the second quarter Thomas Ivy took over for Edison as the Eagles gave Morrison a break. His first touchdown came on a nice option pitch from Rhazjon Green. Ivy worked his way down the field eluding tacklers for a nice 37 yard touchdown. The two point conversion was good by Darius Fritz. It was 22-0. Then later in the second quarter it was Ivy again. This time it was a 19 yard run. The halftime score was Edison 29, Hale 0.

In third quarter a 5 yard run by Gerard Thompson made it 36-0. Then it was that man Ivy again. This time quarterback Louis Perona hooked up with Ivy on a 33 yard pass play that made it 43-0. Then Hale began to move the ball. They had a good drive that ended on a strong 14 yard run by Terry Yarbrough who then proceeded to convert the two point conversion on a run around the right side. The score stood at 43-8 after three quarters.
Edison wrapped up the scoring with a 2 yard touchdown run by Jervahn Chatman with 5:34 left in the game. The final score was Edison 50, Hale 8
