The Claremore Zebras and the Tulsa Memorial Chargers met at Tulsa’s LaFortune Stadium Thursday afternoon. On this Fall Break week they kicked off just after noon.
Claremore scored early and often. In the first quarter they had an 18 yard pass from Charlie Murdock to Dylan Kedzior, a 34 yard run from Air Force commit Jace Hightower, a 48 yard catch and run for a touchdown by Deshawn Kinnard, a 20 yard td catch by Brooks Sherl and a 43 yard interception return for touchdown by Aidan Stimson. All that give the Zebras a commanding 35-0 lead after a quarter.
In the second quarter the domination by the Zebras continued. Deshawn Kinnard hauled in a pass, broke a couple of tackles and scored from 55 yards out. Mason Hayes recovered a Memorial fumble and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown. And then Jace Hightower ran for 50 yards and a score. At halftime Claremore led 56-0.
In the second half the game was played with a running clock. Early in the fourth quarter Memorial got an 11 yard touchdown run from Mykell Lofton that made the final score Claremore 56, Memorial 6.
