The defending 6A Division 1 Champion Broken Arrow Tigers visited Union-Tuttle Stadium to play the Union Redskins in Tulsa Friday night.
The first half was a defensive stalemate. Union forced an early turnover as Micah Walker stripped the ball from Broken Arrow quarterback Jake Raines in the first half. But Union couldn’t move the ball. Neither team could move the ball offensively and the first half ended with the score tied at 0.
Then less than a minute into the third quarter BA’s Jake Raines hit Isaiah Keller on a nice throw and catch that went for 75 yards and Broken Arrow led 7-0.
On Broken Arrow’s next possession Jake Raines completed passes to Isaiah Keller and Tory Dillard that moved the Tigers to the Union 2. Jaeyland Johnson scored from one yard out and the Tigers were up 14-0.
Union threatened late in the third but couldn’t score. Then BA kept Union bottled up the rest of the way. The Tigers sealed the game with a sack of Union quarterback JD Geneva by Brandon Barwig, and an interception by Adonis Ballard.
Broken Arrow wins 14-0. BA is now 2-0. Union falls to 0-2.
