Watch a full game replay of the Ford Game of the Week: Broken Arrow vs. Jenks (Oklahoma) – September 27, 2019.
The Broken Arrow Tigers and the Jenks Trojans met at Allan Trimble Stadium in Jenks Friday night. Broken Arrow came into the game with a 2-1 record while the Trojans were 1-2. Regardless of records the winner would have a big leg up on the 6AI District 1 race.
Broken Arrow struck first in the first quarter on a 2 yard touchdown by KeJuan Tolbert. Jenks turned an extended drive in to three points with a Max Paskvan field goal early in the 2nd quarter.
Then on the next Jenks possession the Tigers’ Zeno Marcheselli sacked Jenks quarterback Stephen Kittleman and forced a fumble. Broken Arrow’s Isaiah Finklea recovered the ball and BA was in business at the Jenks 31. On the next play it was KeJuan Tolbert bursting into the open field for a 31 yard touchdown that gave Broken Arrow a 14-3 halftime lead.
Early in the fourth quarter a 30 yard Kittleman touchdown pass to Bo Estes cut the BA lead to 5. Jenks went for two but that attempt failed and the score was 14-9.
Broken Arrow got a field goal from Tyler Crawford to extend their lead to 8 at 17-9.
With less than six minutes left in the game, Jenks mounted a drive that led to an untimed down after a pass interference at the buzzer. On that untimed down, Stephen Kittleman found a wide open Malachi Penland in the end zone to make the score 17-15. After a procedure penalty cost Jenks 5 yards, their two point conversion attempt was marred by a bad snap. Broken Arrow stuffed the broken play and pulled out the nail biter, 17-15.
