Pensacola Blue Wahoos Kick Off Season-Long Schedule on Yurview

The 2022 season for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos is ready to get kickstarted and with a facelift to Blue Wahoos Stadium to boot. A new synthetic field welcomes the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. You can watch home games all season long on YurView Florida (Cox channel 2 – Pensacola, channel 6 – Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa County, and channel 15 – Gainesville/Ocala) and Yurview Louisiana (Cox channel 4 – New Orleans/Baton Rouge/Lafayette).

Blue Wahoos Stadium will be featured 69 times for six months beginning April 8. Weekday games will be carried live with weekend contests taped delayed on Yurview Florida. Yurview Louisiana plans to carry all home contests live when available. Some exceptions will be made during the season. Come back to Yurview.com for updates.

The Blue Wahoos will host rival Biloxi Shuckers to open up the season. The three-game home-opening series will be the first contests of the year for the 10-year program.

The Blue Wahoos also return this season as the new double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Former Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp manager Kevin Randel was named to lead the team back in March. Randel began his career with the Marlins organization in 2002 when he was drafted in the 13th round.

Blue Wahoos Stadium went through a major facelift since last the team played on the Bay. A new artificial field was installed along with new LED tower lights. The new set up will allow lights to change color instantly and create a different atmosphere in an instant.
