UCLA Head Coach Mick Cronin’s journey to the Pac-12 is a great example how being resolute and dedicated to your craft will pay off.
When you look at the post-season record of Mick Cronin, it’s little wonder why the storied UCLA Bruins would come calling when they faced a coaching vacancy in 2019. As a head coach, Cronin has taken 11 teams to the NCAA tournament and 9 straight while coaching at Cincinnati.
In this intimate interview, Adam and coach discuss some of the less glamorous aspects of coaching and recruiting such as $29.95 a night hotels, navigating the Appalachian Mountains in the dead of winter in an unstable vehicle, and more.
Coach Cronin also addresses the challenges that the profession can put on family life and how the Covid-19 situation has effected his Bruin team.
