The URI Rams women’s basketball team remained unbeaten in the Atlantic 10, beating Davidson 68-54 on Sunday at The Ryan Center.
Rhody jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back for their eighth straight win of the season. They also stayed unbeaten at home, moving to 9-0.
Tammi Reiss‘ team got a balanced scoring attack, with four players in double-figures. Dez Elmore led Rhode Island with 13 points while also grabbing 8 rebounds. Dolly Cairns and Chanell Williams scored 12 points apiece, while Marie-Paule Foppossi chipped in 11.
The Rams’ winning streak is the longest for the program since 1978-79, and they’ll look to keep their streak alive on Wednesday at UMass.
