Owasso scored first to take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
Bentonville West dominated the next two and a half quarters. They got two touchdowns from their highly recruited wide receiver Jadon Jackson of 28, and 30 yards. Two field goals and a 33 yd TD run by Tyrese Smallwood had Bentonville West up 31-14 in the third quarter.
Owasso scored 7 touchdowns from there, highlighted by a 75-yarder by Trey Goins, a 60-yarder by Mario Kirby, and an 18 yard pick six by Deuce Mayberry.
Owasso quarterback Will Kuehne, who is committed to North Texas, was 21/33 passing for 341 yards and 3 touchdown passes. He also ran for 2 touchdowns.
In the end, Owasso won it 56-40.
