The 1989-1990 UNLV Running Rebels basketball team, led by the legendary coach Jerry Tarkanian, was ranked #1 all season long and powered through the Big West. In the Final Four they ended up soundly defeating Georgia Tech in the semi-finals and went on to defeat Duke in the most lopsided national championship game in history, 107 to 73.
