Woodstock Academy big man Tre Mitchell is a hot commodity of late, as college coaches regularly descend on his games in hopes he’ll join them for the 2019-20 basketball season.
But first, he’ll have to decide whether he wants to add another year at Woodstock to hone his craft, as he weighs the option of reclassifying to 2020.
Providence will also have assistants in tonight for 2019 four-star Tre Mitchell, a source told Stockrisers and Prep Hoops. Several teams making strong push for Top-75 senior. https://t.co/wV0aHwdIlh

As Adam Finkelstein notes in the video below, Mitchell, the 73rd ranked prospect in the ESPN 100, has a phenomenal skill set. He can shoot the ball with range, score with either hand in the post, and is one of the best passing bigs in the whole country. It’s no wonder coaches such as Ed Cooley from Providence College and Syracuse assistant Gerry McNamara are lining up to see him this winter. Just last week, he received an offer from ‘Cuse.
What’s more, he’s shown a commitment to the game, working on his body and conditioning in the year and a half since he’s attended Woodstock, the runner-up for the 2018 National Prep Championship. All that work has turned him into a double-double machine, and he recently had a 31 point, 17 rebound effort in a Woodstock win.
Finkelstein breaks down Mitchell’s game and he showcases his skill set at the recent National Prep School Invitational.
