After previously discussing 2018 Final Four participants Loyola Chicago and Villanova on Eye on the Alamo, Rod Thompson and Adam Finkelstein were brought back to dissect the other two teams playing this weekend in San Antonio.
Kansas was the last team to advance on Sunday, winning a thrilling game vs #2 seed Duke thanks to Malik Newman’s overtime heroics.
Their reward? A heavyweight matchup with East region winner Villanova.
On the other side of the bracket, #3 seed Michigan advanced to the Alamodome by beating #9 Florida State. They’ll face Loyola Chicago in the early game on Saturday night.
Finkelstein sees similar styles between the Ramblers and Wolverines, which should make for an interesting game.
