From the 2019 Jamboree, August 30, 2019 as Acadiana and Teurlings Catholic do battle.
In the second Game of the night, the Teurlings Catholic Rebels faced off against the Acadiana Rams in what would prove to be one of the most exciting games of the night. Acadiana jumped out in front as star halfback Dillan Monette (yes, there were two different D. Monette’s that took the field in back-to-back games) returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown. Acadiana also scored on the first play of the second half, with an 80-yard touchdown pass from Keontae Williams to Julien Arceneaux.
Although giving up some big plays, Teurlings Catholic’s defense showed signs grit and determination against the Rams Veer Offense. Offensively, Teurlings was led by Senior Quarterback, Sammy LeBlanc, who threw for 150 yards on the night.
Acadiana claimed the 27-13 victory in Game 2.
