National Dog Day is August 26th, and who doesn’t love celebrating their tail-wagging family members?!
The 757 is especially fond of our furry friends, even ones we don’t know! Recently, a UPS driver was on his normal route in Hampton Roads, when he came upon a house that was engulfed in flames. The house had been struck by lightning during one of our many recent severe weather outbreaks, causing the fire to start.
All of the neighbors of the home in Norfolk let the driver know that the dogs were stuck inside, and that the owner wasn’t home. He did not hesitate to rush into danger to save the dogs! What a story!
If you find yourself in a situation like this one, it might be handy to have taken the Dogs and Cats CPR and First Aid class! The class is put on by Critter Sitters and More. During it, you will receive a handbook and also a kit to help with first aid and CPR!
