Ashley, Patricia and Producer Melissa hopped on a plane early one morning, and headed to South Florida. They had one mission in mind: take a boat into the ocean and swim with the sharks.
Well, Ashley and Melissa- Patricia opted to stay on the boat!
Florida Shark Diving
With the help of Florida Shark Diving, the girls set off on their adventure. First, they met their Shark Handler- the phenomenal Alexis Flotteron! She explains that the best dives are the ones where everyone is fairly calm and still in the water.
After a very “sporty” ride to the sweet spot, the girls suit up in the gear and they are ready to go!
The Dive
Producer Melissa exits the boat first, and then Ashley exits the boat.
The sharks arrived on scene immediately!
The girls spent a full hour in the water, coexisting with the APEX predators, and bosses of the ocean. They got up close and personal with these beautiful fish and lived to tell the tale (wink!).
The Feedback
The feedback? Sharks are docile and AMAZING animals, and Ashley and Melissa can not wait to go back and do it again.
