Spring has sprung, and most people think about spring cleaning as relating to their homes- but it is also important that we take care of our cars when the weather starts heating up! Car care is of utmost importance year round.
Our friends at AAA Car Care Center shared some tips that the Living 757 crew shares with you to keep your car in tip top shape this Spring!
Check Your Air Conditioning
First off, make sure you have your air conditioner checked! Everyone knows that air conditioner likes to decide not to work at the most inopportune times. So make sure it’s working properly before you’re left sweating- literally!
Inspect Your Emergency Supply Kit
Also make sure to check your emergency supply kit and fill in anything that might be missing.
Some things to include:
- Jumper cables
- Water
- First Aid kit
- Flashlight and batteries
- Spare tire
Check Your Tire Pressure
Check the air pressure in your tires. Cold weather causes air to contract and warm weather causes it to expand! So the air pressure in your tires might need some TLC.
Give Your Car A Bath!
Last but not least for car care tips, wash your car! The winter weather also brings a mix of chemicals and salt on the roads to make them more safe to drive on in icy conditions. The problem is that the chemical and ice are not good for your car! So give your car a quick bath and she will be ready to hit the road this Spring.
AAA Tidewater Virginia was founded in 1913 by a group of individuals to advocate for more and better roads and improved safety.
Today, AAA is best known for providing emergency roadside assistance nationwide. In 2003, we opened our first full-service automotive repair AAA Car Care Center .
