Premiering March 14th, Dance to the Dome delivers the latest NCAA tournament updates, highlights, stats, plus interviews and predictions for all the games. The weekly 30-minute show is dedicated to bringing you all the madness from bracket breakdowns to the championship game.
We’ve assembled a panel of experts to provide analysis from around the country, with special in-depth coverage of regional teams including Arizona, Kansas, LSU, Arkansas, Providence, and many more. Host Victor Howell is joined by recruiting expert Adam Finkelstein, and regional analysts Rod Thompson, Vin Parise, and Jon Schaeffer.

San Diego State Aztecs
Eighth-seeded San Diego State seeks its first NCAA Tournament win since 2015 when the Aztecs square off with the ninth-seeded Creighton Bluejays on Thursday at 4:27 p.m. PST in Fort Worth, Texas. This is the first meeting between the teams since SDSU defeated Creighton 83-52 in November of 2019 at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic. Thursday’s game will be televised nationally on TruTV with the winner likely getting the top seed in the Midwest region Kansas on Saturday.

Both teams used strong finishes to their regular seasons to secure at-large berths in this year’s Big Dance. The Aztecs won 11 of their last 13 games, with the two losses each by just a single point to Boise State including Saturday in the Mountain West Title Game. Creighton won 10 of its last 14 games overall including Saturday’s Big East Title Game loss to Villanova at Madison Square Garden.

The Aztecs are led by first-team All-conference selection Matt Bradley, the team’s only scorer that averages double-digits at 17.0 points per game. A transfer from Cal, Bradley has been a deadly three-point shooter (41.7%) while also racking up 82 assists. SDSU also features the Defensive Player of the Year in the Mountain West Nathan Mensah as well as the league’s Sixth Man of the Year in Chad Baker-Mazara.
Creighton
Creighton returns to the NCAA Tournament despite returning no starters from last year’s Sweet 16 team, the school’s first since 1974. Creighton has four players averaging at least 11.0 points per game, led by Div. II transfer Ryan Hawkins (13.9 ppg). Creighton gets nearly 40% of its scoring from freshmen but is without Big East Freshman of the Year Ryan Nemhard (11.3 ppg) to a wrist injury.
Remarkably, this game features brothers Adam Seiko and Arthur Kaluma on opposite sidelines. Seiko is a fifth-year senior for San Diego State that shoots 41.1% from beyond the arc. The 6-8 Kamula is a rising freshman that was named to the Big East All-Tournament team.
On the sidelines, Brian Dutcher has guided San Diego State to a third tournament berth in his five-year tenure, which doesn’t include 2020 when the tournament was postponed by the pandemic and the Aztecs went 30-2. The two-time Mountain West Coach of the Year and 2020 USA Today National Coach of the Year has also coached in three National Championship Games while an assistant to Steve Fisher at the University of Michigan.
Greg McDermott is in his 12th season as the Bluejays head coach and is coaching in his seventh NCAA Tournament with Creighton. McDermott led Creighton to its first Big East regular-season title in 2019-20, helping guide the team to a top 10 ranking at year’s end.
San Diego State is one of four Mountain West teams in this year’s tournament, joining regular season and tournament champion Boise State as well as Colorado State and Wyoming.
