BATON ROUGE – It has been six years since the Arkansas Razorbacks has been able to lift the Golden Boot trophy and it took four quarters and one overtime period for the Hogs to claim it back with a 16-13 win.
Arkansas kicker Cam Little knocked through a 37-yard field goal to win it after LSU’s Garret Nussmeier was picked off in the extra period.
Nussmeier took over at quarterback for the Tigers in the first half and finished 18 of 31 for 179 yards. Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson passed for 142 yards and a score to lead the Hogs.
Arkansas, who picked up bowl eligibility with last week’s win will visit Alabama next week, while LSU hosts Louisiana-Monroe.
