Living 757 visits Riverside Health System’s Warwick Forest, a retirement community, located in Newport News.
Warwick Forest is both a retirement and life planning community which provides all levels of care: independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing and short-term stay for rehab.
With a goal of providing maintenance-free living, terrific dining, events and entertainment for their residents, Warwick Forest hits the ball out of the park.
Their services allow for more free time for the residents. When home maintenance and other “chores” are taken care of, residents can focus on truly enjoying their time.
Art classes, and musical performances are available, and for exercise, residents can enjoy group exercise classes, take a dip in the saltwater pool and explore lovely walking trails.
Their newest resident Walker, a specially trained service dog, has joined the family and helps with assisted living and memory care residents. He also helps relieve stress and brings a smile to every face he encounters.
While Covid 19 has posed a challenge, Warwick Forest was able to provide vaccinations to the residents early on. They have also adhered strictly to the CDC guidelines.
This, combined with in-room food services, masking and smaller, social-distanced events has allowed the residents to feel safe and confident in their health safety.
