The National Prep Showcase is the unofficial kick-off to the prep school season. Held every year in New England, the event attracts the top prep school teams from the United States and beyond.

Putnam Science Academy (CT) 77, TSF National (GA) 69
Putnam Science Academy built a 14-point halftime lead and increased the pressure early in the second half with a barrage of steals, transition baskets and offensive rebounds.
The visiting team from Georgia made a late push, getting to within 62-58 with 6:07 left thanks to an offensive outburst from 7-foot-2 Kai Sotto of the Philippines. Sotto finished with 20 points and 4 rebounds.
TSF National couldn’t tie the game or take the lead down the stretch, though, as Putnam Science Academy held on for the win.
Marty Silvera led all scorers with 22 points and added 5 rebounds for Putnam Science Academy in a game where Texas A&M commit and 4-star guard Hassan Diarra shot just 3 of 22 from the field.
Jaylen Murray also scored 16 points for Putnam in the win.
Koby Jeffries scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for TSF National.
Brewster Academy (NH) 94, Mt. Zion Prep (MD) 86
The Bobcats got off to a fast start, building a 24-10 lead with 8:45 left in the first half.
Brewster Academy (NH) held a comfortable margin before Mt. Zion Prep made a late run by getting out in transition. But Terrence Clarke, a Kentucky commit, hit a 3 off an offensive rebound with 1:06 left to stretch his team’s lead to 85-74.
Clark led the Bobcats with 25 points and also added 8 rebounds. Jamal Mashburn Jr. (Minnesota commit) scored 22, DeMarr Langford Jr. added 10 and 8, and Matt Cross (Miami commit) chipped in 12 points.
David N’Guessen was impressive for Mt. Zion Prep in a losing effort, scoring 21 points on a variety of jump shots, duck-ins, transition baskets and putbacks. He also added 12 rebounds.
Syracuse commit Woody Newton added 25 points for Mt. Zion Prep.
Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) 82, Link Year Prep (MD) 55
Darius Ervin scored 16 points and seven other players scored at least six as Northfield Mount Hermon dominated from start to finish.
The team’s quick guards were able to slice through the defense off the dribble and in transition. Northfield Mount Herman also held a 45-25 rebound advantage and led 46-25 at halftime.
No. 11 led Link Year Prep with 15 points, while No. 7 added 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
