Meet the next generation of innovators — from right here in Arizona. These high-school students are working on cutting-edge research that earned them the opportunity to compete in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. With $4 million in awards up for grabs, you’ll want to see what happens!
The 2016 event at the Phoenix Convention Center featured over 1760 students, representing 77 countries from around the world. Over 1000 projects related to all aspects of science and technology were showcased at the Intel ISEF.
You’ll hear from some of the participants and learn how they became involved in the program and information about their project. They discuss the research and development that went into their project and how teamwork and collaboration are important learning tools. Among the topics discussed in the video are autism and cyber security.
In addition, 48% of the participants at the 2016 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair are female. Participants Divya Vatsa and Emily Wood noted that women in science are excited about sharing their ideas and making a huge impact on the world.
