Two very proud programs — Higley and Casteel — will meet in one of the most exciting high school football matchups in the southwest this week. Together, these teams are a combined 9-3 this season.
The game will be broadcast live this Friday on Yurview Arizona for customers of Cox Communications and will also stream live on Yurview.com.
Two Championship Caliber Teams
The combined 9-3 record actually looks a little shabby compared to what these two programs did last season. Casteel rode a perfect 14-0 record all the way to the 3A Conference state championship while Higley advanced to the 4A Conference semifinals, going 11-2.
Despite weaker records, these two teams are again aiming to become the last ones standing this fall. Casteel is 4-2, having lost to Centennial in Week 1 and Williams Field last Friday. When Casteel wins, it’s behind its potent offense, which is averaging 56.75 points in the team’s four victories.
Higley comes into this week at 5-1. They started the season 3-0 and then lost, 35-7, on the road to Moorpark. But they have responded well since then, scoring 57 and 63 points in victories against Millennium and Maricopa, respectively.
Players to Watch
DE Ty Robinson – Higley
The top-rated prospect in a game filled with college caliber players, Robinson is a 4-star recruit and the No. 4 player from Arizona in the 2019 class.
Robinson has reportedly received offers from dozens of schools, including Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Penn State, USC, Stanford and several other top programs. He has a visit scheduled with the Crimson Tide on Nov. 24.

In April, he visited Cal.
