Players to Watch
LB Nick Henrich – Burke
A 4-star prospect, Henrich is the top Nebraska recruit and the No. 5 inside linebacker in the 2019 class according to 247Sports. He reportedly received 20 offers from Power 5 schools all over the country, but Henrich plans to stay in his home state.
He commited to Nebraska in July.

TE Chris Hickman – Burke
The second of two 4-star prospects at Burke, Hickman is the No. 2 Nebraska recruit and the No. 14 tight end in the 2019 class. Standing at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, Hickman is one of the top offensive weapons in the state and will be a handful for the Millard West defense.
He has reportedly received 12 offers from Power 5 schools, including Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, LSU, and Oregon.
🚨 #2 in NE from class of 2019 🚨
Chris Hickman, TE, Omaha Burke: 6’5”, Hickman is hard to miss. With his combination of fluid running and hands, he’s a 4-star with a slew of high-profile offers (and is favored for UNL). He’ll look to beat his 8 TD reception record. 🏈 #NebPreps— OmahaHSFootball (@OmahaHSFootball) August 25, 2018
RB James Burks – Burke
Burks ran for 119 yards on 14 carries and 3 TD’s in the season opener.
We’ve seen him have huge games before and he broke school records last season with 1,934 yards and 29 touchdowns on 266 carries. James Burks is as tough as they come.
RB Jackson Wright – Millard West
While Millard West doesn’t possess any highly-regarded college recruits, Wright played like one in Week 1. He rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns leading Millard West to a five-touchdown victory.
Two of his three touchdowns were long scampers of 51 and 40 yards.
