Spencer Rattler didn’t waste any time introducing himself to the world at The Opening Finals in Texas. Despite it being the first high profile camp that he’s attended, he quickly emerged as the alpha dog, leading his team to the 7 on 7 championship while throwing 16 touchdowns and just three picks.
“This is really like my only big camp that I’ve ever been to. I didn’t really go to camps during high school,” said Rattler. “This is one of the coolest events I’ve ever been to. It’s a great experience learning from coaches and competing against players here that are the top in the country.”
For Rattler, The Opening Finals offered a chance to play with and against some of the top talent in the country while getting in some one on one time with his future Sooner teammates. “I know everybody was going to be solid but everybody’s really solid so it’s fun competing with these guys. Especially my OU guys.”

“We love being around each other and getting to know each other and getting that relationship on and off the field, so it’s going well.”
And if the Opening Finals are any indication, OU’s future is in very capable hands.
